Canadian Security Intelligence Service
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is a government agency dedicated to protecting the national security interests of Canada and safeguarding its citizens. The main objective of the Service is to investigate and report on threats to the security of Canada, an objective that it pursues while respecting the law and protecting human rights. CSIS is unique in its role as the Government of Canada’s principal advisor on national security.
Law Enforcement Aboriginal and Diversity Network (LEAD)
The LEAD network consists of police officers at the national, provincial/territorial, regional, municipal, and Aboriginal community levels across Canada. The goal is to create a network with the infrastructure to connect the officers so they can share best practices, establish links in the community, devise a Canadian training program, set up a Web site and an electronic newsletter, and conduct research.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is the Canadian national police service and an agency of the Ministry of the Solicitor General of Canada. The RCMP is unique in the world since it is a national, federal, provincial and municipal policing body.
